A head of department handed us this calendar template after years of refining it, and it solved a problem we kept seeing: term tests scheduled in isolation, with no room left for revision or remedials when a class falls behind. The fix is to schedule the whole term up front, including the slack.
How the template is structured
It blocks the full academic term in one view, then reserves recovery time before you assign a single test date. Revision and remedial weeks are placed first, as fixed commitments — not as gaps to be filled if time allows.
- Two term tests, spaced to give each unit enough teaching time before assessment.
- A revision week ahead of every test — protected, not optional.
- A remedial week after results, for the students the test flagged.
- Buffer days absorbed into the plan, because terms never run exactly to schedule.

Schedule the revision before the test, not after the panic. The calendar should protect recovery time, because nothing else will.
